About Laura Abad

Laura Abad is a visual artist and marketer from Montevideo, based in Barcelona, whose work moves between photography, watercolor on paper and realistic generative AI. Her practice is built around a clear passion: translating vision into visuals.

Self-taught across all her disciplines, Laura treats the studio as a lab. A piece might begin as a photograph, be stripped back through careful editing, then rebuilt with watercolor textures or AI-generated imagery. Other times the process runs in reverse, starting in AI and moving toward the most organic materials. Form and flow come together as the creative process demands.

Before dedicating more of her time to art and interior-focused work, she spent over 15 years in brand and content marketing, leading growth projects for startups and scale-ups. That experience shapes how she thinks about process, context, narrative and audience. In her work, everything is oriented toward building long term, and aesthetics are always in conversation with purpose.

This same line of thinking, together with her love of exploring different visual aesthetics and techniques, led her to found mindfulwallart.com in 2025, a studio line and e-shop focused on wall art in different styles for intentional living. There she explores how artworks and wallcoverings can support a sense of coherence in homes, hotels and shared spaces.
